Great Oak CA incoming senior Chris Verdugo placed second overall in the men's competition, including first among high school competitors, clocking 15:07 at the 25th annual Baldwin Park Pride of the Valley 5K road race at Morgan Park in Baldwin Park, Calif. Verdugo helped Great Oak run its fastest team time in program history at the event, joining forces with Christian Simone (15:07), Aric Reza (15:11), Leandro Candray (15:12) and John Worthy (15:14) to run 75:51.
